Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, and Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025. It does not run on Mac or Linux.
What is Backup By TCI?
Backup By TCI is backup software for your Tally data. You install it on the computer that has your Tally data, choose when and where to back up, and it takes encrypted backups automatically.
What does it back up?
Your Tally company data. You set a schedule once, and backups run automatically, so you do not depend on someone remembering to take a backup every day.
Where are my backups stored?
Where you choose: your own Google Drive, a local drive, a USB drive or a NAS on your network. Using two places, for example Google Drive and a USB drive, gives you the best protection.
Are my backups secure?
Yes. Backups are encrypted with a password that you set, so the files cannot be opened without it. Keep the password safe: without it, nobody can open the backup, including us.
Will I know if a backup fails?
Yes. Backup By TCI sends alerts about your backups, so you hear about a problem the same day instead of when you need to restore.
How many computers can I use one licence on?
One. Each licence works on one device. If you have Tally data on more than one computer, buy one licence for each.
How much does it cost?
1 Year: ₹1,800 + GST. 3 Years: ₹3,000 + GST. Lifetime: ₹8,000 + GST, a one-time payment with no renewals. All prices are for one device.
How much is the renewal?
After the first year, the 1-year licence renews at only ₹1,200 + GST per year, not the full ₹1,800. You will be able to renew from your customer login.
How do I get the software and my licence key?
Pay online with UPI, card or net banking. The download link and your licence key are sent to your email after the payment, during working hours (Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM).
Will I get new versions?
Yes. When a new version is released, your download link always gives you the latest version.
Can I get a refund?
No. Licences are not refundable. That is why we give you a free 7-day trial: please try Backup By TCI on your own computer before you buy.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Enter your GSTIN when you buy, and it is printed on your invoice so your business can claim input tax credit.
Do I need Tally on Cloud to use it?
No. Backup By TCI works with Tally data on your own computer. If you use Tally Cloud India, ask our team how backups are handled for your cloud server.
